In September 2007, after a 26 year practical career in electronics, and 17 years as a lecturer in vocational colleges in the UK, as well as an examiner and course moderator for the UK Electronics Examinations Board, the City and Guilds of London Institute and the Open College Network, webmaster Eric Coates completed a three year degree course at the University of Lincoln (UK),for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Web Technology, gaining First Class Honours and the Department prize from the School of Media Technologies.
This was followed in 2008/9 by a Masters degree in Education (Learning, Design, Technology) from Stanford University, California.
The creation of this site is intended to help students throughout the world gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of electronics, and share some of the experience gained from delivering and assessing courses in electronics to students, from craft to degree level.
